Showcase your merchandise products with dynamic 3D previews for a modern shopping experience. This guide walks you through setting up a 3D model for a sample product—a cup—using your backend platform.
Step 1: Go to the backend and click Libraries in the navigation menu.
Step 2: Select 3D Models to open the models page.
Step 3: On the models page, view all existing 3D models. To add a new model, click the add button. For this guide, we're working with an existing mug model.
Step 4: Review the model's specifications: enable the model, pick stores, name your model, and upload the OBJ file for the mug.
Step 5: Upload the map file for texture placement, add a thumbnail, write an optional description, and click Submit to save the model.
Configure the 3D Preview for Your Product
Step 1: Open your mug's product page.
Step 2: Find 3D Preview Configuration and turn it on.
Step 3: Click Select Model and choose the mug model you just created. Once the mug model appears, click Set Configuration to open the design mapping tool.
Step 4: Click Save to confirm your design mapping configuration.
Step 5: Submit the product to apply changes and activate the 3D preview.
That’s it! Your product now features an interactive 3D preview, letting customers visualize custom designs right on the mug. Try it out to give your shoppers an engaging, modern product experience.
