A production profile defines how your final output files or print-ready artwork are configured for customer orders. Setting up a production profile ensures each product type is processed correctly for your workflow and output needs.

Watch the tutorial below-

Step 1: Click the Settings icon.

Step 2: In the menu, select Production Profile.

Step 3: Click Add New to start a new profile.

Step 7: Assign an existing Workflow from the available list. (Workflows manage step-by-step production processes.)

Step 8: Choose the Output Format (PDF or PNG). For PDF, select the color profile: RGB or CMYK.

Step 9: Set the Output File Type: decide if multi-page products will have all pages in a single file or separate files for each page.

Step 10: Enable Spot Color Output if needed.

Step 11: Set the Order Information Format and choose between CSV, XML, or TXT for order and customer details.

Step 12: Pick the file format using the provided option.

Step 13: Enable or disable Cut Marks and Registration Marks as needed.

Step 14: Turn on Layered Output to preserve design elements in separate layers.

Step 15: Choose how the Zip File and its contents are named.

Step 16: In the Hot Folder section, decide where processed files are stored (locally or remotely).

Step 17: Adjust the Imposition Settings for printed products. Enable 'N-UP Output' to control how multiple copies appear on a single sheet.

Image

Step 18: Set the Bleed Margin to ensure no white edges after trimming, and adjust Horizontal & Vertical Gutter Space to maintain spacing between repeated designs.

Image

Step 19: Configure Preflight Settings if you have a preflight service enabled.

Step 20: Click Submit to save your production profile.

If you select a different product type, you’ll see similar settings—except that Imposition options only appear for Print products.

A production profile streamlines how your designs are processed, ensuring consistent, ready-to-produce files for every customer order.
