Please note that the video and article screenshots may appear slightly different due to ongoing DesignO version upgrades. The tutorial video was originally recorded on DesignO Version 2.0, whereas the help article has now been updated to reflect Version 2.5. As a result, certain UI elements, screen layouts, or timestamp references in the screenshots may vary from what is shown in the video. However, the overall functionality, workflow, and process demonstrated in both the video and the article remain the same and accurate. The steps can be followed as demonstrated, irrespective of the minor interface differences caused by version enhancements.
A store setup defines how your DesignO environment functions for each business you manage — from basic store details to product visibility, order routing, and user access. Every configuration you choose directly impacts how smoothly the store operates and how efficiently your clients can work inside the system.
Below is a complete step-by-step guide to add, configure, and manage a store in DesignO.
Step 1 - Open stores in DesignO dashboard
Log in to your DesignO admin.
Click Stores (towards the bottom of the left panel).
You’ll see all stores registered in your account (example: Magento, WordPress site, etc.)
Use the list to confirm domains, platforms and current settings before adding new ones.
Step 2 - Add a new store
Click Add Store.
Fill the required fields:
Store Name - descriptive (e.g., DesignO Magento Staging)
Store Code - short unique code (e.g., mag_stg)
Store Domain / API URL - full domain or API endpoint used for integration
Client IP Address - IP to be whitelisted / used for callbacks
Currency - select from list (USD, INR, EUR, etc.)
Store Language - pick from available languages; request addition for new languages if needed
E-commerce Platform - choose Magento, Shopify, WordPress, or Other for custom dev
Store Type - B2C or B2B
Save / Submit the new store entry.
Step 3 - Verify the store domain & connection
After saving, check that the Domain/API URL is reachable and responding.
If your store requires whitelisting, ensure the Client IP and any firewall rules are set on your store host.
Do a quick product sync or API test (if available in your admin) to confirm communication.
You can also manage multiple platforms from one place:
Once added, DesignO lets you manage stores built on different platforms (Magento, Shopify, WordPress) centrally.
When adding products, you can choose which store(s) to import from.
Libraries (images, templates, backgrounds, etc.) can be created per store so assets stay organized.
You can also assign content and images to stores as per your need:
Images and other assets can be assigned to:
All stores (global) OR
Selected stores (store-specific)
Use store-specific libraries to avoid cross-store clutter and accidental asset exposure.
Step 4 - Choose shared vs independent configurations
You can either:
Use the same configuration across multiple stores (fast, consistent) OR
Manage each store individually (customized behavior per market or platform)
Decide per business need, for example, price formats, currency, and language often require store-level customization.
