QR codes which also stands for quick response code are machine-scannable images that can be accessed with the use of a QR code scanner or from the camera of a smartphone. Just like a barcode is used to store information of a product, a QR code can be a web address that can lead customers to their desired product, service or promotion.

They are the tools used by marketers to extend the reach of their web platform and to ensure that customers have seamless access to products. It is usually represented as a square that contains of black and white dots that can be anchored to a unique web address.

Brands can create these unique QR codes for integral product and service pages and distribute it via different offline and online channels.
