Print Blemishing

Print Blemishing

Print blemishing is a kind of defect that appears in the form of white patches or discoloration over the printed material. This kind of printing defect is especially caused when the ink doesn’t print well over a material with indentations. Usually, print blemishing occurs in the dye-sublimation print method.

You can prevent blemishes by using a reverse transfer printing method. It involves reverse printing the artwork on the underside of a transparent film. The film is further applied on top of the printing material using a heated roller process. Any imperfection in the printing materials is effectively printed over without leaving any blemishes.
