Designing packaging products is easier when you provide ready-to-use templates. Instead of starting from scratch, customers can personalize a pre-defined design that’s matched to the product’s settings.
Step 1: Find the packaging product you want to create a template for. Open the product (for example, a Straight Tuck Box) and review its settings so you can match them when building the template.
Step 2: Open the Templates module.
Click Add New Template to start a new template.
Step 3: Enable the template. Make sure the Enable Template toggle is on.
Step 4: Assign the template to the correct store. Click Assign Stores and choose the store where the product exists.
Step 5: Name and categorize the template. Enter a template name (such as Straight Tuck Template Example), pick a category, and optionally add a thumbnail image or description.
Step 6: Select the personalization profile.
Match the Personalization Profile to the one used for your product.
Step 7: Choose Packaging Model and set Dimensions. Pick the correct packaging model (like Straight Tuck) and enter the width, length, and height to match your product.
Step 8: Click Submit to create the template.
Step 9: Open the template in the Design Studio. Click the green design icon to launch the Design Studio.
Step 10: Create your template design. Add backgrounds, artwork, and layout elements you want customers to start with.
Step 11: Save the template. Click Save to finalize your design.
